Beatriz Gaudêncio Ramos (2000)

Beatriz Gaudêncio Ramos is a portuguese coloratura soprano / performer, performing a wide range of repertoire from Early to Contemporary Music,  internationally (so far in Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Slovenia and Spain).

Gaudêncio Ramos had her Prague Philharmonia debut this November, singing Richard Ayres‘ NONcerto No. 30., with conductor Jiří Rožeň and cellist Andrej Gál.

Gaudêncio Ramos sang the role of Cleopatra in  G. F. Händel’s Giulio Cesare in MUMUTH, Graz, Austria, (2025), and in the Austrian (Das MuTh, Vienna) and Czech (New Opera Days Ostrava Festival) Premieres of Pascal Dusapin’s Opera “Passion”, in collaboration with Neue Oper Wien (2024). 


The soprano has worked with conductors such as Jiří Rožeň, Stefan Gottfried, Walter Kobéra, Claire Levacher, José Eduardo Gomes, Jan Wierzba, and Constança Simas, stage directors like Ingo Kerkhof,  Lars Marcel Braun, Ursula Horner, António Durães and Mário João Alves, orchestras like Prague Philarmonia, Amadeus Ensemble Wien, Orquestra Clássica do Centro and ensembles like mdi ensemble (Italy), Between Feathers (Austria), DomMusik Graz (Austria), Ars Combinatoria (Spain), Misericordiae Ensemble (Portugal) and Quarteto Contratempus (Portugal). 


In October 2024, Gaudêncio Ramos sang in the Italian premiere of Alberto Posadas’ “La Tentación de las Sombras” at Teatro Elfo Puccini, with mdi ensemble, in Milan, Italy.  In May 2025, they performed Posadas’ piece in Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical CNDM, in Madrid, Spain.

In January 2024, she participated in Helmut Lachenmann’s masterclass in Austria, working on and performing his piece Got Lost for voice and piano. In 2022, she sang Olympia in Offenbach’s Les contes d’Hoffmann in the Grande Auditório of Convento São Francisco, Coimbra, Portugal.


Gaudêncio Ramos has premiered works by composers such as Alfonso Casanova, Sergi Puig, Canco Villarabid, Sofia Sousa Rocha, Telmo Marques, Ema Ferreira, and Cláudia Cañamero Ballestar. 


In addition to her vocal work, Gaudêncio Ramos enjoys integrating movement and dance into her artistic projects. Beatriz is also a certified massage therapist and yoga teacher, including other holistic and somatic healing practices. She  is currently specialising in the Master’s program in Performance Practice in Contemporary Music at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz with Prof. Holger Falk.
